Internal fixation is a surgical procedure used for the treatment of unstable bone fractures through implanting plates, screws, nails or pins to keep the bone fragments in place. Generally, internal fixation implants are not removed even after the bone has healed.
The Agile Nail™ is a rigid implant made of titanium alloy, designed for femoral fracture treatment and deformity correction procedures. It is inserted in the intramedullary canal of the bone from the tip or slightly lateral to the tip of the greater trochanter and fixed to the bone with locking screws. The implants are available in several sizes to fit the bone anatomy of the patient.
The Guided Growth System eight-Plate and quad-Plate is an implant system designed to correct pediatric deformities (congenital or acquired) in lower limb, like genu valgum and varum, and limb length discrepancies. The plates are attached to the external surface of the bone over the growth plate by two or four screws depending on the plate selected by the surgeon. The implant acts like a flexible hinge, permitting growth at the growth plate to gradually straighten the limb when the physis (growth plates) are not fused. The screws are not locked to the plate but rather are allowed to swivel and diverge in their positions as the bone grows. Immediately after implantation, the patient is allowed mobility and weight bearing.

The Fitbone™ Intramedullary Limb-Lengthening System was developed in partnership with Professor Baumgart. The product was launched in 1997. Since then, this innovative treatment concept has grown into a global success story. The Fitbone TAA Intramedullary Lengthening system is intended for limb lengthening of the femur and tibia. With appropriate pre-operative planning, it is possible to ensure good limb alignment so that the limb is correct at the end of lengthening.
The JuniOrtho™ Plating System (JPS) is a pediatric range of stainless steel plates designed for surgical treatment of deformities and trauma reconstruction in lower limb. The JPS plates can be used for correction of congenital deformities in femur and tibia (varus, valgus, rotational and/or shortening of the lower limb) and for the treatment of articular fractures.
The SOLE™ Medial Column Fusion Plate System consists of stainless steel plates and screws, and is designed for the fixation of small bones and joints in the foot. The plates and screws are made for complex reconstruction procedures like Charcot foot.
